Jan Jack, a woman of many talents
We’d like to introduce someone rather amazing we’ve been working with, Jan Jack.
Not just a comedienne, poet, writer and charmingly lovely lady, but someone who yesterday was selected as one of Theo Patphitis’s much coveted “Small Business Sunday” (#SBS) winners on twitter. Which meant she promptly got her business @perfectverse4U retweeted to 215000 of his followers. Not bad for a Sunday.
Jan’s unique take on life and story of how she left a boring office job of 32 years as a secretary to pursue a dream of being a stand up comedienne has attracted some press interest of late. Aided and abetted by our wonderful PR team here of course.
Since the start of 2012 she’s been talked about on Express FM Business Show, featured on website Fab After Fifty as an inspirational woman, and last week was interviewed by BBC Radio London.
In the last 3 years Jan has set up Basingstoke Comedy Club Laughter-House, written a book of comical adult verse, writes bespoke poetry for occasions and is now being recognised as a funny and inspirational speaker. Another book of comical poems is in the pipeline with ‘Animal Angst’ being released later this year.
We’re pleased she’s taking it all in her stride, giggling and tweeting in verse as she goes!
